Department: Sales Department

 

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

 

Full time

 

Job Summary: To develop, establish and maintain sales strategies to meet organizational objectives across Western Canada - SK, AB, BC. Responsible for planning and directing the sales activities of the company by identifying sales targets. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel. The ideal candidate may be located in any of the 3 provinces listed above.

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.

· Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity

· Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts

· Maintain current product knowledge

· Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships

· Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract customers

· Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up

· Identify and resolve client concerns

· Prepare a variety of status reports, CRM, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals

· Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff

· Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock

· Directly responsible for the company’s revenue (forecast annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue)

· Set and monitor individual sales and marketing targets with sales team

· Liaise with marketing department to develop and implement plans and strategies (marketing and sales) for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals

· Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction

· Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis to determine market requirements for existing and future products

· Monitor customer, market and competitor activity

· Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities

· Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships; attend trade shows and industry conventions

· Evaluate performance of sales staff and provide feedback and support to the sales team

· Investigate lost sales and customer accounts

· Generate timely sales reports

· the territory covers BC, AB and SASK so the willingness to be on the road for several nights in 1 week will be expected.

· May require travel to the US to meet with our various suppliers

 

Qualifications:

· A degree in business, sales and marketing, or related professional qualification and five years of relevant professional experience.

· Experience in planning and implementing sales strategy

· Technical sales skills

· Proven experience in customer relationship management

· Knowledge of market research

· Experience in managing and directing a sales team

· Relevant product and industry knowledge

· Capacity to work with employees, customers, and suppliers in a consistently friendly and professional manner.

· Ability to speak clear, articulate English is required

· Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

· A valid passport is needed

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
