CLASS 7 ROUGH TERRAIN FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Tecvalco ltd. Is Looking for an experienced class 7 Rough Terrain Forklift Operator (variable reach), to operate a Pettibone Carry-Lift in a pipe-yard (storage yard) setting. Preference given to those who have previous/significant experience working in an industrial manufacturing or construction environment.
Job Summary: Operators help load and unload pipe from incoming and outgoing loads as well as stack and move pipe to and from locations in the yard.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Unload materials from incoming trucks; organize materials into assigned storage areas
· Operate Machinery with care and attention
· Manage inventory lists
· Work with Customer Service team to fulfill customer PO’s and other administrative paperwork as required
· Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
· Prepare inventory and quality reports
- Comply with all Company Safety Policies and guidelines, and proactively work to develop and maintain a culture of safety onsite.
- Conduct pre-use/walk-around safety inspections and completion of daily logs; report any maintenance concerns with the equipment
· Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of storage facilities
· Construct racks for the storage of pipe
· Oversee, train, and mentor junior operator
· Work with Facilities and Assets manager to ensure that preventative maintenance is completed on all machinery
· Act as spotter for other operators and drivers when maneuvering equipment and vehicles in yard
· Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Valid Class 7 Forklift Operator license from a recognized/accredited Canadian training program or school preferred but willing to train
· Minimum 2 years experience operating a Telehandle/ Carry-lift in a rough terrain environment
· Ability to safely work confidently near other structures and obstacles
· Must have a valid drivers license, and clean drivers abstract

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8:00-4:30, on call evenings and weekends (anticipate this will be in emergencies and very rarely)
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
