CNC Programmer/Operator

Job Summary: The CNC Programmer is responsible for using software to produce and optimize G-code from a 3D model for machined parts.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Program machined parts within specific tolerances on Mastercam
  • Manage and validate tools in Mastercam
  • Review part measurements and finishing details to ensure accuracy
  • Provide simulate tool paths
  • Resolve and troubleshoot CNC Program issues
  • Create and distribute blueprints
  • Maintain production standards, quality expectations
  • Assist with manually program CNC Lathes and Mills
  • Inform supervisor of production interference’s
  • Maintain a safe work environment’
  • Maintain tool library
  • Operate CNC Mills and Lathes as required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Diploma in Engineering Technology
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills
  • Computer software experience with Mastercam and Solidworks
  • Tool & Die design will be an asset
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Work Conditions
